Faribault Farmers Market Family Day Set for Saturday

Saturday, Sept. 10, will be Family Day at the Faribault Farmers Market from 9-11AM. Plan to bring kids, grandkids and friends to this fun event!

In addition to the traditional farmers market fare of fresh produce, delicious treats and homemade goods, Saturday’s Family Day event will feature activities for kids and demonstrations.

The University of Minnesota Extension will be on hand providing free games, recipes, fruit and vegetable samples, activities, prizes, and goats and rabbits. The Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce will be giving out free books, posters and magazines. Rice County SHIP will have a trivia wheel and will be giving out prizes.

There will also be chickens and eggs, kids materials and a veggie toss game, a scavenger hunt, look at plant science, coloring books and more. Plus, you can take a picture with a Carrot and Pea mascot and have face paining done.

The Farmers Market is at Central Park in Faribault on Wednesdays from 1:30-5PM and on Saturdays from 7AM to noon, with the final day for the season being Oct. 31. Don’t miss this Saturday, Sept 10, Family Day at the Faribault Farmers Market from 9-11AM!
