The Faribault Falcons sent three divers to the State Swimming and Diving Tournament at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center on Wednesday, and two of them are in the finals.

After the semifinals, senior Lauren Hake is in seventh place with a point total of 244.15 and junior Sophia Steinberg is in eighth place after amassing 243.70 points.

Hake just signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Minnesota State Mankato this week at Faribault High School.

Steinberg was third after the preliminaries and Hake 10th.

Megan White, a senior from Blake, is in first place heading into the finals with a total of 280.55 after the semis.

Faribault junior Taryn Longshore finished 28th and does not advance to the finals.

The top eight after finals will be all-state.

The Swimming and Diving Finals for Class A are noon Saturday and public ticket sales are at 10:30AM.

Class A Swimming Preliminaries are Thursday at noon and a number of Falcons are participating.

Sophomore Bre Bresnahan participates in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke and also is on the Medley Relay with sophomore Ahnika Vininski, senior Ana Stepaniak and Megan Gehrke and the 50 relay with Stepaniak, senior Cora Showers and Gehrke.

Sophomore Megan Gehrke is in the 100 freestyle.
