The annual celebration of Faribault's Heritage Days will take place this week from Wednesday, June 17, to Sunday, June 21. The event is filled with a variety of activities, sure to please everyone!

On Wednesday, enjoy tours of the historic Faribault Woolen Mills. Opening ceremonies take place at Central Park at 6:30PM. Stick around afterward to experience great local music with the Paradise Community Band performing a free concert  in Central Park. The carnival also opens Wednesday weekend, and it is Youth Night.

On Thursday, find bargains as you explore the citywide garage sales. Make sure to be on hand for the permanent placement of a fully restored Tilt-a-Whirl in downtown at 3PM, and also check out the mayor's reception, bingo in Central Park, and the Stone House Bus tours. Thursday is also Family Fun Night.

On Friday, meet more people in town by heading to the community lunch at Trinity Lutheran Church from 11AM to 1PM. A craft show will be in Central Park during the day, and that night, head to Central Avenue for the Faribault Car Cruise Night! Spend the night on the dance floor when Pop Rocks provides the soundtrack to a fun evening in the beer gardens.

On Saturday, kick off your morning with the Heritage Hustle 5k fun run/ walk, and enjoy the farmers market in Central Park. A free kids fishing contest or Soap Box derby are fun ways to start the morning with the kids, or you could learn about fur trading in the area and also take a tour of the Alexander Faribault House. A garden tractor pull takes place on Saturday, or you could learn more about the local cheese history. Grab your friends and family and spend Saturday evening watching the annual parade pass by before watching Flashmob perform.
