This past Saturday was the annual Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce Gala. The evening included raffles, updates on the past year and an outlook for the future, a lovely dinner, and dueling pianos for the evening's entertainment.

A fun feature of this year's event was the wonderful table decorations. Several businesses in the community decorated tables to reflect their industry and had the chance to introduce themselves and inform the people who sat at that table about their business. The KDHL table was adorned with old 45 records and cookbooks filled with listener-submitted recipes. The KDHL group did not sit there however, we sat at a table that was beautifully put together to showcase Shattuck-St. Mary's school. With a global education emphasis, the decor included a globe, a stack of books and flowers. Additionally, there were small jars of peanut butter made on campus, wooden clock towers that were laser cut and designed by a student, and a deck of cards that were also designed by a student.

After a nice dinner, and words from the Chamber of Commerce leadership, the attendees were treated with a performance by Duelly Noted, a pair of ladies who both play the piano and sing, and manage to engage the crowd and put on quite a show. The range of songs was excellent, and it was a fun highlight of the evening.
