Farewell Metrodome!

I was lucky enough to see the final game at Met Stadium back in the 80's. I even helped some people I was with take home some memorabilia.  I had been to a few very cold games..never thought it was so bad. Course I was in my teens then. Now as I get older I don't care to sit out in below zero temps that long. So I am glad that the Vikings have had an indoor venue and after the new stadium is built, will continue to have one. I have seen many a great baseball game, many football games(high school and pro) and have even had the chance to broadcast a few high school games on the radio from the dome.  I liked it much better as a football stadium than baseball. But It was great seeing the eyes of the world on us in 87 and 91when the Twins won the series.  The design of the new stadium has not exactly won me over yet. But I can't wait to be oneof the many in the seats in 2016 when it opens.  Thanks for the memories Metrodome and Farewell.
