Falcons Volleyball Victorious

The Faribault Falcon volleyball team swept Richfield at Nomeland Gym Tuesday night by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-13.  Head Coach Damian Fox had to be pleased with the balance offensively with Ellery Akemann stroking 9 kills, Ashley Schley 8 and Nyamal Tut 7.  Setter Renata Erickson collected 17 assists in the lopsided affair.  The Falcons have their conference opener Thursday night on POWER 96 Radio.  I"ll be in Nomeland Gym with coverage beginning approximately 7pm.  Get out and support these Falcons!  There were a number of other Big Nine teams in non-conference action.  Hastings swept Northfield, Albert Lea defeated Burnsville in four sets, Mayo swept Chatfield, Blooming Prairie bested Austin in four sets and Prior Lake swept Mankato West and Caledonia defeated Winona in a five set thriller.
