Falcons Softball Falls in Opener

The Faribault Falcon fastpitch team ran into a buzzsaw Thursday evening in Rochester.  The John Marshall Rockets cranked out 17 hits en route to a 17-1 win over the Falcons at JMHS field.  Faribault pitchers Claire Drentlaw and McKayla Armbruster tallied the only hits in the game for the Falcons.  Drentlaw threw the first three innings and gave up 14 hits and 11 earned runs while walking two and striking out 5 and Armbruster pitched the final inning and gave up three hits and an earned run while fanning one and walking none.  Get more details on KDHL Sports at 7:40am Friday.
