The Faribault Falcon football team knows the Austin Packers can score.  Man can they put up points.  Unfortunately for the Packers they haven't had much success defensively, so Friday night's contest on POWER 96 Radio should be a high scoring affair.  If you believe in statistical trends.  Austin comes into the game averaging 34 points a game with losses to John Marshall and Mayo and a scant one point win over rival Albert Lea.  The fewest points they've scored in any of those games was 27.  Their opponents have rolled up an average of approximately 47 points.  Austin fell to Mayo in their opener 48-34, edged Albert Lea 42-41 and lost to JM last week 51-27.  The Falcons have had issues defending the pass and Austin quarterback Nate Connor is coming off a 264 yard, two touchdown performance against the Rockets.  Receiver Jason Stoulil caught 11 of his 17 completions for 174 yards.  Meanwhile Austin's defense allowed JM to roll up 517 total yards, allowed 479 total to Mayo and 369 total yards to Albert Lea.  Mayo threw for 214, JM for 176 in seven completions and Albert Lea was one of five for 28 aerial yards against the Packers.  If you like offensive football you want to be at Bruce Smith Field Friday night or tune in on POWER 96 Radio, power96radio.com or by downloading the free Radio Pup app on your favorite mobile device.

This is a huge game for both these teams!
