The Faribault Falcon girls basketball team didn't waste any time getting a jump on the Albert Lea Tigers on Friday night as the Falcons lead 30-10 at the half and finished of the Tigers 46-30.

It got a little tight in the second half as at one point the Tigers had outscored the Falcons 15-5, but the shooting came back on for Faribault and they were able to wrap it up. It was a hard game to call on the radio too, as there was not a lot of continual up and down play. A total of 43 fouls were called in the game.

Elana Palmer lead the scoring with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Grace Amacher had 11, Isaacson 3, Hanson 2, Gehrke 2, Bresnahan 2, Holmberg 2, Van Ryn 2, Wolff 2.

Palmer, Amacher, Isaacson and Hanson were the State Farm Insurance Players of the game. Hanson worked hard for her first game back after a concussion.

The Falcons, now 13-11, host Owatonna on Tuesday.
