The Faribault Falcon fastpitch softball team is still unbeaten after three games at the Lakeville North Panther Classic at Aronson Park in Lakeville.

After a dramatic 13-8 nine-inning win last Thursday on KDHL Radio, the ladies traveled to Albert Lea and swept a doubleheader on Friday.

McKayla Armbruster threw her second perfect game of the season in a 13-0 win and the Falcons followed that up with a 14-1 victory. Cassie Swanson and Ellie Knutson had homers in those games.

Saturday, No. 3 ranked Faribault beat No. 7 ranked Visitation in their first game of the day 17-1 while clubbing 21 hits.

In the second game they defeated Andover 9-4 and cranked out 16 more hits.

In their final game it was 4-4 going into the bottom of the seventh against Tartan when senior Bre Bresnahan clobbered a walk-off homer over the centerfield fence. She had two homers in the win over John Marshall last Thursday.

The week ended with Faribault collecting nine homers. That's right, nine homers in the week.

On their Twitter feed, the Falcons note in 1992 and 1996 the Faribault fastpitch team had eight homers the entire season.

For the week, again according to their Twitter feed, the Falcons collected 103 hits and 86 runs while going 7-0.

Faribault is now 13-0 and goes to Northfield on Tuesday. They then head to a tournament in Mankato next weekend before closing out the season with contests against Rochester Mayo, Owatonna and Mankato West.
