The Faribault Falcon boys hockey team shut out the Winona Winhawks 5-0 at the Faribault Ice Arena on Saturday.

Sophomore goalie Adam Vos collected his first varsity shutout while stopping 26 shots.

Sophomore Cade Kletschka had two goals in the game, with assists from sophomores Brett Vogelsberg and Dylan O'Neil. One of the goals was shorthanded.

Seniuor defenseman Koy Payne added another shorthanded goal. His goal was assisted by senior Connor Lipinski and then Lipinski scored a goal assisted by Payne. Junior Brett Kelly rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal.

The Falcons host John Marshall on Tuesday.

It's their final game before the holiday break when they travel to a tournament at Roseau High School for three games December 28-30.
