The Faribault Falcon and Bethlehem Academy softball teams picked up victories in their respective conference games Monday night.

Sophomore Claire Drentlaw notched her first varsity shutout in a 3-0 win over the Austin Packers at North Alexander Park.

She scattered five hits while the Falcons connected for six in the game.

Faribault notched their first run on an RBI single by sophomore Cassie Swanson in the fifth inning, and it's all the scoring they would need. However, they added two more runs in the sixth and are now 3-2 on the season.

Faribault is very young, with just two seniors and no juniors on their roster. So look out Big Nine, here come the Falcons.

Faribault travels to Winona on Tuesday night.
