John Dvorak, Rice County Fair executive secretary, will be on today's AM Minnesota program at 9:30AM. I am not sure if John will have all the numbers analyzed from the grandstand, parking and beer garden. Those are the numbers they can use to judge how successful the Rice County Fair was. It is not like the Minnesota State Fair where everyone pays to get in so they can track attendance.

Monday morning we went out to the fairgrounds to tear down our booth. It is always a very discouraging time for me. Granted you get tired and are happy it is over. On the other hand, the fair is over for another year. You remember how nice everything looked with the exhibits, carnival, food booths, all the livestock and so on. Now all you see is things all torn down. I have said before fairs and farm shows are like a family reunion. There are certain people you only see one time a year like at the Rice County Fair. But, we can already start looking forward to the 2016 Rice County Fair!
