This morning I awoke to a light coating of snow blanketing my yard and thought "if this snow stays it'll be the perfect touch for this evening's 18th annual Winter Walk in downtown Northfield." This is the event during which most of the Hallmark movie Love Always, Santa was filmed last year because it captures that small town essence of Christmas in just the right way. Bundle up the kids and join your friends and experience Christmas shopping and events in picturesque Northfield. Stroll down the candlelit streets, visit unique local shops and dine at fine restaurants. Take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage, enjoy the music of Christmas carolers as they wander the streets, swing by the Northfield Public Library so the kids can see the model train display or take in a performance of the NAGCracker (Nutcracker), so named because it put on by the Northfield Arts Guild. Santa Claus and his elves will be visiting town and they'll be joined by Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Downtown Northfield will definitely be aglow in the Christmas spirit during their annual Winter Walk tonight, December 8, from 5-9PM.

Our very own Gordy Kosfeld was recently joined by Northfield Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Todd Bornhauser and Tourism Director Lisa Peterson on KDHL's AM Minnesota to talk about tonight's Winter Walk in Northfield.
