Seed Collecting Class at River Bend Nature Center

On October 7 from 1-3PM, River Bend Nature Center will host a Lifelong Learning class on Seed Collecting for seniors and other interested adults.

River Bend naturalist Kaytlan Moeller will teach participants the steps to take when collecting prairie seeds from the parent plant. With this knowledge, you will have the tools to implement a prairie on your own property. Please note that seeds collected during the program will be used to plant future River Bend prairies; participants will not get to take them home.

This Lifelong Learning-series class is open to seniors and adults. The class fee is $5 per person ($3 for River Bend members). Preregistration is required. To register, please visit River Bend’s website at www.rbnc.org or call them at (507) 332-7151.
