Eric Church is coming to the Target Center on January 20, 2017. And if you purchase tickets on any of the "secondary" markets, you could be out in the Minnesota cold. Literally.

The tickets go on sale on Sept. 23. And Church is taking steps to keep scalpers from buying up the tickets. Orders could be canceled without warning and secondary market tickets may no longer be valid by the actual date of the show. Here are some of the steps being taken.

There will be a larger allotment of fan club tickets in the presale. The promoters will be watching for scammers posing as real fans.

They have also “commissioned a proprietary technology that scrubs ticket purchases” and automatically flags orders made by scalpers. This targets "bot" ticket-buying software and other scams and computer tricks used to buy up many of the best seats.

Ticket delivery will be just days before the show, giving the scalpers fewer days to do their thing.

There will be a limit of six tickets per order. Larger orders will be canceled without notice.

Tickets, priced from $27 to $89 before fees, go on sale at 10AM Sept. 23 at www.axs.com or by phone at (888) 929-7849.
