Enjoying Christmas in Downtown Faribault

It was Small Businesses Saturday over this past Thanksgiving weekend. A day in which local communities give everyone a chance to shop and save at your favorite local businesses and take part in various family friendly events. This year many shoppers had an opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of holiday favorites like visiting with Santa and taking a family photo with him and a horse-drawn wagon ride through the streets of downtown Faribault. I know my grandchildren really enjoyed meeting with Santa and sharing with him what they they hoped he'd bring them this Christmas. They were also in in awe of the horse-drawn wagon ride as they checked out all the beautifully decorated windows of the many businesses.

This was just one of the many family friendly events and activities that will be hosted by Faribault Main Street during the Hometown Holidays in Faribault beginning this past Saturday. Their next big events are this Thursday's Window Decorating Contest and Wine Around Town.
