The Big Nine has one team ranked in the top 20 in Let's Play Hockey's rankings of boys teams in Minnesota.

The Mankato West Scarlets are ranked 16th in Class A. That's the only ranked team from the conference.

I scratch my head a little because the Northfield Raiders crushed them Tuesday night 8-3 in Northfield and the Raiders are the only unbeaten team in Big Nine play.

Does that mean the Big Nine is down or everybody is beating each other because there's more parity?

What do you think?

I think it's a combination of both.

The Rochester schools are not dominating like they used to because of parity
