A 32-year-old Eagan man, Anton Martynenko, was sentenced to more than four decades in jail Tuesday for being part of what authorities call the largest child pornography case ever in the state of Minnesota. And it turns out he spent some jail time with Danny Heinrich, who killed Jacob Wetterling. The two spent over seven months in the Sherburne County Jail.

Details of their in jail conversations were recently given to the U.S. Attorney's office.

It was in those documents that Heinrich confessed to the abduction and killing of Jacob Wetterling to his defense attorneys, and to Martynenko. According to the Sherburne County Sheriff's office, Martynenko and Henirich shared a cell in a private area for seven months.

In a KSTP report, Martynenko said the Heinrich got upset whenever the Wetterling story was discussed in the media. He was concerned for his own safety. He also said after Heinrich cut his deal in the Wetterling case, he came back bragging about how famous he was going to be.

Martynenko said he came forward with information he knew, because it was the right thing to do.
