The Dundas Dukes captured their fifth Class B State Amateur baseball title Monday with a 8-2 win over the Moorhead Brewers in Cold Spring.

In Monday's championship game, Dundas scored six of their runs in the first three innings, tallying four in the second. Dukes outfielder Tyler Jones was named the tournament MVP.

Dundas had 12 hits and Moorhead 10. The winning pitcher was Matt Neuger of Northfield and he went the distance.

Carson Jones had three-RBI in the title tilt with two doubles, Tyler Jones had two hits and two RBI with a triple. Todd Mathison had a three-hit game and Adam Johnson had two hits, including a double.

The Dukes have nine players on their roster that were St. Olaf players, including current St. Olaf sports information director Mike Ludwig and the tournament MVP Jones.

Kenyon-Wanamingo graduate this past spring Drew Sathrum was on the state championship team, and so was Cannon Falls graduate and former St. Olaf Ole Charlie Ruud. Ruud also managed the team. Six players on the team graduated from Northfield HIgh School.
