Last Tuesday, Brett Fuchs and I visited the third-grade classes at the Divine Mercy School in Faribault. Two classes were combined for one presentation. Kendra Schroeder was unable to help out this time. Being the Extension educator in Rice and Steele counties, she had to help with the annual Rice and Steele County Organic Crops Day in Owatonna.

This class at Divine Mercy knew quit a bit about farming. Sometimes you find a class that knows very little about farming, but I was impressed with the students' knowledge. Arrangements are now being made between the Faribault elementary schools of  Roosevelt, Lincoln, Divine Mercy and the STEM School to visit a farm. The Medford third-grade class will join them. I almost forgot about the Medford third-grade because Dan Morgan did that classroom visit. Dan is a farmer, agronomist and also a member of the Faribault Chamber Agri-Business Committee.
