Lisa Behnken, a crop production specialist at the Rochester Regional Extension Office, asked me to help get the word out that the crop management tour this morning will be held even with the rain. Indoor presentations on key trials will be made in the Heintz Center. If weather permits later this morning they will head out to the field to share highlights with an abbreviated tour. Registration is this morning at 8:30 and the program begins at 9AM. The Heintz Center is right next to the university campus on the east side of Rochester.

The crop management tour keys in on weed management, especially with tough weeds such as waterhemp and giant ragweed. They have the traditional herbicides in plots along with the new systems like Liberty Link, Banvil and 2,4-D soybeans. Lisa said all the plots are signed and you are welcome to come back to tour yourself or bring groups back.
