The University of Minnesota Extension Beef Team will be hosting the annual Cow-Calf Days at two locations in southern Minnesota this week. The program is held at a number of locations around the state including Thursday, January 28, at the Heintz Center in Rochester beginning at 5:30PM, and Friday, January 29, at the American Legion in Le Center starting at 9:30AM. The cost is just $20, which covers the meal, handout materials and the speakers. To register, call Diane DeWitte at the Le Sueur County Extension Office at (507) 304-4325.

Some of the topics include Grazing Lands of Minnesota, Increasing Feeder Calf Value, Cow/Calf Confinement Systems, Trace Mineral Nutrition and Calf Health Protocols. There is a variety of speakers including from the University of Minnesota Beef Team, Government Agencies, and from companies that work with the beef industry.
