Todd Bornhauser from the Northfield Chamber of Commerce passed along an alert that he received from a chamber business about counterfeit bills. In his release he said.

"We have been alerted by a Chamber member to be on the look out for fake $5.00 bills.  They are actually $1 bills and your fraud pen works on them.  Put the $5 bill up to the light to be sure it is real.  You should see a large watermark #5 to the right of ABE next to the green Treasury seal on the front of the bill."

If you receive any of these you should contact your local law enforcement agency and try to give any identification about those passing the phony bills.
