Thursday night there will be another great concert at the Central Park Bandshell in Faribault, Part of the Parks and Recreation Departments Concert Series.

The Owatonna Community Band will be performing this Thursday’s “Concert in Central Park” beginning at 7:00 PM. The concert is cosponsored by Faribault Parks and Recreation and First United Bank of Faribault. 

The Owatonna Community Band is one of southern Minnesota’s finest community musical ensembles. The band has over 50 members and has been in existence for thirty-seven years. 

This will be the last traditional concert band performing in the park this summer. Music will include concert band music, arrangements of popular music and marches.

Artists from En Plein Air will be working on projects during the concert and people are welcome to view the works as they are created.  

The girl scouts will also be raising money by selling treats. 

Coming up Thursday July 23 is the Lakelander Barbershop Choir and July 30th will be the Copper Street Brass Quintet
