I guess you should check your pockets before you throw your farm clothes into the washer! At least that is what Louise always tells me! Apparently there was some corn kernels in my pockets that ended up in the dryer after I washed and dried my farm clothes. There is no question you can get dirty during harvest between greasing the combine and all the grain dust. When I am ready to head for home at night, I throw my farm clothes into the trunk to take home to wash.

It is amazing the things you can find in the dryer: nails, nuts and bolts, corn, soybeans, a half-inch wrench, cotter pins, just about anything that will fit into your pocket! Maybe I should take Louise's advice and check my pockets before I leave the farm!  At least I have never found my cell phone in the dryer!
