Charges Dropped Against Three in Taylor Swift Disturbance Case

The three individuals arrested outside Taylor Swift‘s Rhode Island home in June are breathing easy after the Westerly police charges were dismissed Thursday (Aug. 7) in 4th Division District Court.

The Westerly Sun reports that Tristan J. Kading, Michael Horrigan and Emily E. Kading — all in their late 20s — appeared separately before Judge Madeline Quirk, where the charges for misdemeanor disorderly conduct were dismissed.

According to Swift’s security, the friends were throwing beer bottles, yelling expletives and flipping middle fingers at officers on guard at the star’s massive mansion. They pleaded not guilty on July 11.

That all three out of state residents contributed cash ($100 to the Rhode Island victims of crime indemnity fund) and ten hours of community service helped to get their charges dismissed. Swift was not home when the incident took place. Those accused have moved to have their records expunged.

Since the ‘Red’ singer bought the $17 million home, there has been lots of drama with neighbors, property lines, trespassers and the like. Even when she was doing something sweet like rebuilding the sea wall, there were false reports and disapproving speculation circulating. Thankfully, with a new album coming out and a possible live stream, Swift has plenty to keep her mind off of anything at home.
