The Faribault City Council held an emergency meeting at City Hall this morning and passed a resolution declaring a State of Emergency. Mayor John Jasinski gaveled the meeting to order with all council members present

Faribault Parks and Recreation Director Paul Penansky tells KDHL Teepeetonka Park has been closed due to flooding. City Emergency Management Director Dusty Dienst told City Council members meeting as a Committee of the Whole Tuesday night a check of the Straight River coming into Faribault found between midnight and 2am Tuesday the river level went up 4 inches, from 2-6am it went up a foot and from 6-10am up another foot
This is a picture of a typical field in out listening area. Because of the heavy rains there is a lot of ponding in lower areas of fields. The corn that is completely under water will die in about two days

I was at Ag Power Enterprises picking up a part and I took this picture of one of the technicians. With todays equipment, technicians have to be good with a wrench and computer. Many times the first thing a technician does is plug in his lap top computer into the computer system on the tractor
