Boring Markets today

So far today the grain markets have had very small ranges today. Corn is about unchanged and is still trying to break out above that overhead resistance. In case you have not noticed oats are on a tremendous run higher, up 14 cents to over $4 a bushel

Corn is slightly firmer this morning. The USDA announced a sale of 119,888 MT of corn to an unknown destination for the 2013-14 season. The forecast for Argentina is for temperatures to be increasing this week

Are the grains starting a recovery?

When I got to the studio this morning at 4:00 am the grains were trading a little higher. By the end of the overnight session we added to the gains and even opened firmer this morning at 8:30 am. The weather in South America, especially Argentina will likely determine if the small rally can continue

Soybeans suffered losses of about 36 cents Tuesday. This morning it is more quiet, beans are down a couple, corn up a couple and wheat unchanged. Tuesday it was all about rain over the weekend in Argentina and the forecast of more rain on Thursday along with cooler temperatures
