It’s Music Monday! Every week I share something I am currently listening to and think that you might enjoy. Weekend Roundup Faribault Area December 18-20

The weekend is here! We recently have acquired a light dusting of snow and now that Faribault looks a bit like a snow globe, I'm reminded just how close the holidays are. It seem that every year they sneak up and I could always use about twice the hours in the day. With a week until the celebration, I've got a few things on my to do list this weekend, but I'm also making time for some of the fun things going on in the area. Will you be attending any of these events over the weekend?

Education and Excitement at the FFA Convention

At the end of October, I traveled with KDHL Farm Director Jerry Groskruetz to Louisville, Kentucky, for the National FFA Convention. This was my third time attending for work, and the last time the convention will be hosted there before moving to Indianapolis, Indiana. The students are there to compete, partake in the national band or choir, learn more about agriculture, and get fired up from the speakers, but when they get a break, there are more opportunities for FFA members to explore!

Faribault’s Giant Snowman Returns

Although its December, we haven't had the back-breaking amounts of snow shoveling this year that other winters have brought. Despite its short-lived presence, the snowfall the area did have was enjoyed by many, and the infamous giant snowman has made his return!

Weekend Roundup Faribault Area December 4-6

The weekend is so close! I'm not typically a fan of being cold, but all of the lights and fun window displays throughout downtown has me feeling a bit festive. And looking at the weekend forecast, it looks like we'll be seeing temperatures in the 40s, which is really pretty warm for December. Take advantage of the nice weather and get out this weekend, there are plenty of things going on.
