Welcome to spring. It's nice to be outside. Except for some areas like Hastings, where the Gnats are visious this year.

The Faribault Mainstreet ar Cruise season got off to a good start on Friday night, with a great turnout of cars and people looking at the cars.

It's part of the whole high school gig. Pranks that happen during homecoming week, last weeks of school etc. Many times these are not well thought out as to damage or hurt caused. I don't condone those types of pranks. But this is great.

I recently as you may have heard me talk about on air, was faced with the situation of having to replace my vehicle. When I was a kid, within 10 miles of my parent's house in the cities there were about 10 bowling alleys. People liked the fun, drinks were cheap and the food was usually pretty good and it was a cheap way to have fun. Now I think there are 1 or two left.

This fall, it's 'Real Country'. It will feature Shania Twain and Jake Owen and will film this summer in Nashville. The show is supposed to run for 8 weeks on USA network produced by Wilshire Studio with Twain, Nicolle Yaron, Stijn Bakkers, and Leslie Garvin set to executive produce.

Warmer temperatures are here. A welcome thing since the snow of two weekends ago. I gave a strong message to my sister in Port Wing, Wi., to keep the snow that was falling there in Wisconsin. I am done with it.

You know the movies. 'Bill" which in 1981 was about a man with a developmental disability. And 'Rainman'. With Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. About an Autistic man. You may not remember that these were written by an Austin Minnesota native who graduated from St. Olaf. Barry Morrow has written as well as now moved into the Director's chair for a new movie called 'Smitten'.
