There are many great events coming up that the Faribault Chamber of Commerce is associated with. Tonight( Saturday) it’s the Zombie Pub Crawl with registration at 7:00 p.m. at Boxers and the crawl from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.

Actress Charity Jones who has been in many other Guthrie Productions, will play Scrooge in performances on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m., Nov. 30 at 10:30 a.m., Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 13. According to the Guthrie release she will be playing Scrooge as a male character.

On a beautiful night at the Snake Pit in Dodge Center the Triton Cobras faced off against the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars. And it is usually not a pretty picture when Cobras and Cats get together. And it was the final regular season home game for coach Don Henderson who is retiring after 28 years at Triton.

The one day warehouse sale at Faribault Woolen Mills was exciting. The owners said there were long lines before the doors even opened and when I got there to set up there was a steady stream of people going in and a steady stream of people coming out. You would have thought there was some amazing black Friday deal going on.

HalloweenCostumes.com recently posted a number of costumes and among them was a costume that depicted Anne Frank. She of course is known for the diary she wrote while in spending much time hiding from the Nazis during the war.

The Faribault Woolen Mills has a legendary sale going on Saturday Oct 14. Every year it's a big event to move things out of the warehouse. And this year some vintage never before sold items are available.

If you have not heard by now, Mike Eiler's last day with KDHL/Power96 was Friday. Mike has been with the station for three decades plus. And has been the host for the morning show on Power96 for a lot of those years.

It's been a tradition for as long as I can remember. During homecoming week some houses would be subject to getting the toilet paper treatment. Most of the time it was cheerleaders and others willing to go in with the cheerleaders getting the homes of the football players.

The "20" Rifle & Pistol Club and Straight River Archery Club is hosting the annual Rendezvous at the site near Owatonna this weekend. The group that puts it on are volunteers who educate families and the community on the pre-1840 fur trade era.
