NRHEG graduate Carlie Wagner was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday, Feb. 9, after scoring career-high point totals in consecutive games.

Wagner has been a starter all season for the Gophers and turned in an amazing week to land Freshman of the Week honors. She scored 19 points at Illinois on Thursday, Feb. 5, and followed that up with 25 in a home win Sunday over Michigan State. She drilled five three-pointers in the win over the Spartans.

Wagner is third on the team in scoring, with 11.6 points per game. Her 39 three-pointers put her in second on the team. She has seven straight games with double-digit scoring.

The Gophers (18-6, 7-5) host Wisconsin on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Williams Arena.
