The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals dominated the Lakeville North Panthers in the season opener for both teams in Lakeville tonight.  Scores were 25-17 25-12 25-20 and everybody who played did very well.  Behind Sophmore Payton Nutter the Cards took a 4-0 lead in the first game and didn't look back despite a number of service errors.  Lakeville North had a number also in the first set which was a tad sloppy.  In the second set the BA block was impressive.  Senior Lauren Mathews, Junior Madi Strodtman and Senior Mikayla Grossman frustrated the Panthers while patrolling the net.  At times it had to seem the net was a good foot higher for the Lakeville North attackers.  The Panthers jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the third set, but the Cardinals overcame that with tenacious defense.  MSHSL Media Specialist John Millea was there with his awesome digital camera and I asked him to e-mail some pics from the match.  Below is a good one of the block I was telling you about.
