A pretty decent night of basketball at the Bombers' Hanger in Cannon Falls on Friday night as the 5-6 Cannon Falls Bombers took on the 10-2 Goodhue Wildcats.

Goodhue got out to an 18-9 lead at one point in the first half, but Cannon Falls started hitting some baskets and Goodhue made some turnovers and at halftime Goodhue's lead was cut to 21-19.

Goodhue got a little bit of a lead in the second half, but then Cannon Falls came back. It was a battle to the end. With less than a minute left Cannon Falls was ahead 43-41. Jacob Pasch for Goodhue was sent to the free throw line. He made two to tie it 43-43. With 3 seconds left, Tanner Carlson took a three-point shot, it hit the rim and missed and Kyler Banks was in the right spot underneath the hoop to grab it and put it back up just in time to give Cannon Falls the win 45-43.

I had Tanner Carlson and Kyler Banks each with 10 for Cannon Falls and nine for Jacob Pasch to lead Goodhue.

Cannon Falls hosts Dover-Eyota on Saturday night while Goodhue faces Southland. Cannon Falls is now at 6-6, Goodhue goes to 10-3.
