Renee Morris, office director for Camp Omega in rural Morristown, contacted me this morning reporting a kitten has been living in her office and they would love to find it a home.

Morris says as they were leaving work they saw her huddled among some leaves trying to stay warm in the bitterly cold air and she was crying. The office workers called to the kitten and it came to them.

They quickly placed her in the building, set out some food and water and a make-shift litter box. They said it would have to do for the night and at least the kitty wouldn't freeze to death.

Morris tells me they've called neighbors and other people who might be interested in giving the kitten a home but, no luck. I could tell Morris has fallen in love with the little girl.

She said the kitten loves laying on a yellow blanket on her desk and from time to time she will crawl onto Morris' lap and watch her type.

The kitten enjoys coffee creamer in warm water over her cat food and Morris says hte kitten has not missed the litter box once.

She reports the kitty is a little thin, but her eyes and ears are clear and her tiger-colored coat with traces of orange is shiny. Morris says her purr is delightful.

Camp Omega would like to have a home for this cat no later than Sunday. If you are interested, call (507) 323-4740 and they will assist in possibly having a new Christmas kitty in your home.
