Bomber Seniors Show Their Appreciation

When I headed to Cannon Falls for the baseball doubleheader with Kenyon-Wanamingo I was surprised to be given a basketball signed by the boys hoops team from the class of 2014.  As you can see the basketball is encased in glass and originally I had the glass on my finger and was faking twirling it on the finger.  It didn't work so well and thus the left arm is dangling.  The Bomber seniors thanked me for being part of their State Tournament baseball run a couple seasons ago and outlined all their accomplishments over the past four years.  Here is what the card said.  "The class of 2014 Bomber Boys Basketball team would like to thank you for spending the last 4 years with us.  We have appreciated all you have done to promote Bomber athletes!  On the court, on the field, and on the diamond, you have been a part of:

Football (2) Section Runner-up titles (2012 and 2013)

Basketball (2) HVL Blue Championship titles (2012 and 2014) and (2) Subsection Runner-up titles (2013 and 2014)

Baseball (1) HVL Blue Championship title (2013)  (1) Overall HVL Title (2013)

I thanked the young men for the gift, but it really shouldn't be mine alone.  KDHL and POWER 96 Radio and all the super businesses sponsoring the broadcasts are to be thanked for making high school athletics available on the radio in the Cannon Falls area.  ON behalf of KDHL/POWER 96 thanks again guys for letting us join you in sharing the great memories and remember there are more memories to come!
