Faribault Police Chief Andy Bohlen told KDHL all relatives have now been notified so officials can release the name of the man found dead yesterday. 23 year old Cody Alan Simon's body was found by a worker in an open field in the 30th Street NW and Industrial Drive area of Faribault.  Chief Bohlen says officers and detectives were dispatched to the area about 1:47 Tuesday afternoon and upon arrival determined Simon was deceased.  They observed footprints in the snow indicating he had walked to the location he was discovered.  The Faribault Police Chief says Simon did work and live in the area and the initial observation didn't reveal any obvious signs of trauma.  Chief Bohlen noted it was very cold in those hours leading to the discovery, but it unknown if that contributed to the young man's death.  The Chief says the investigation continues and an autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death, "which we hope can bring some sense of closure to the family in this young man's tragic death."
