Paradise Center for the Arts Executive Director Carter Martin stops by the studio to enlighten us about everything happening during the seventh annual BBQ and Arts Festival  next weekend.

Admission is free and everyone is invited to stop downtown and indulge in some fantastic barbecue and listen to incredible musical performances from 11AM to 11PM.

The date is Aug. 8, and remember this is a fundraising event so even though no admission is charged if you could make a donation for the Paradise at one of the information booths it would be greatly appreciated.

The Art Fair Market will be in the 200 block of Central Avenue and boasts a number of local and regional artists.

A Kids and Family Area  will be open from 11AM to 7PM with three large inflatables for the kids to expend all their energy in. It will be at the intersection of Second Street and Central Avenue and is also free.

The local amateur BBQ competition is from 6AM to 3PM, with final results announced between 4:15 and 4:30PM.

Food vendors will be open from 11-11 and there will be items other than BBQ for those who don't enjoy that kind of food.

The entire festival grounds on Central Avenue in downtown Faribault are in the secured Beer Garden. A variety of beer, wine and mixed drinks will be available for purchase.

Complimentary free rides home are provided from 8-10PM.

So everyone in the KDHL/Power 96 listening area is invited to stop by Faribault on Aug. 8 for a terrific weekend of fun. With Bethlehem Academy's 150th birthday bash, Carv-fest, the Relay for Life and Faribault Area Hospice Ride happening over the weekend also there will be a lot of activities for you to enjoy.
