The latest Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association polls still have Faribault Bethlehem Academy ranked No. 1 in Class A and Eagan tops in Class AAA.

Kenyon-Wanamingo dropped two notches to No. 3 in Class AA after losing their first match of the season in the championship game of the Wabasha-Kellogg Tournament on Saturday.

The Knights lost to Class A No. 8 rated Caledonia after winning the first set 25-19, they lost their first set of the season 25-10 and then dropped the deciding set in a 18-16 thriller.

Despite being swept by Bethlehem Academy last week, the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers moved up a notch to No. 5 in the poll.

In Class A, the Cardinals received seven of the 14 first-place votes, Tracy-MIlroy-Balaton is ranked No. 2 and garnered five first-place votes. Third ranked Mabel-Canton got one first-place vote and fourth-rated Mayer Lutheran also received one first-place vote. Caledonia is No. 8 and Hayfield No. 9, and both are in the same section as Bethlehem Academy.

In Class AA, Maple Lake tops the poll with a 10-0 record and got seven of the 13 first-place votes. Defending State AA champion Belle Plaine is ranked second and is also unbeaten at 5-0. In a bit of a head scratcher, No. 3 ranked Kenyon-Wanamingo received four of the 13 first-place votes and Belle Plaine two first-place votes yet the Tigers are No. 2 and Knights No. 3 in the Class AA poll.

The Tigers have a tough week, with matches against Southwest Christian and Mayer Lutheran. Southwest Christian received votes in Class AA and Mayer Lutheran is No. 4 in the Class A poll. Stewartville is No. 6 and Kasson-Mantorville No. 9 in Class AA.
