The seeds are out for the Minnesota State High School League football playoffs and the Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals will be home against United South Central while the Faribault Falcons travel to Mankato East on Tuesday.

Power 96 Radio, 95.9FM, will broadcast the Falcon game and the featured playoff contest on KDHL will be Kenyon-Wanamingo hosting Medford.

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton is the top seed in Section 2 Class A and will host Mankato Loyola in the first round.

If the Cardinals win, they would have another home game in the semifinals Saturday night at 7PM against either No. 3 seed Minnesota Valley Lutheran or No. 6 seed New Ulm Cathedral. The other game in the section has No. 4 seed Alden-Conger hosting No. 5 seed St. Clair.

The Faribault Falcons started the season 2-1, that included an impressive win at home over the Owatonna Huskies. They then dominated yardage and time of possession but lost at Mankato East 20-12 thanks to four turnovers and bounced back with an impressive win over Rochester John Marshall in their homecoming game.

The Falcons have lost three straight heading into the playoffs, with two of those games on the road. Faribault is 0-4 on the road this season.

The Falcons are the No. 5 seed and winner of their game goes to Marshall on Saturday at 6PM at Southwest Minnesota State University.

The top two seeds in Section 2 Class 4A receive byes. The No. 2 seed is Hutchinson.

No. 3 seed Waseca has No. 6 seed New Ulm come to Bluejay country Tuesday and the winner goes to Hutchinson.
