Robb Lucy was a journalist and producer with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and has written a book about leaving your legacy entitled, "How Will You Be Remembered? The Definitive Guide for Creating and Sharing Your Life Stories."  Lucy spent 25 years on the local, national and international boards of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and continues to help develop non-profits in Vancouver, B.C. where he lives.

Lucy will be joining us on the phone at 9:30 a.m.  I chose this topic because it's President's Day.  When we talk about past presidents we often discuss their legacies. In his book Lucy says you don't have to leave lots of money or be famous to leave a lasting legacy.  Simply sharing family stories is his recommendation.

He says, "Children love stories.  The stories you share will give them higher self-esteem, confidence and control over their lives."  He suggests collecting legacy stories of family members before it's too late.

Lucy also says financial planners don't want us to know writing a check to a charity is not has lasting as telling stories that will be handed down from generation to generation.

Remember if you can't tune in at 9:30 a.m. the audio from the program will be here by mid-afternoon.
