Associated Press Football Poll Has Northfield Enter Top Ten

The Associated Press Minnesota High School Football Polls were released Wednesday as voted upon by a statewide panel of prep sportswriters.

The Faribault Falcons received a vote but did not crack the top 10 in Class 4A after their impressive win last Friday over Owatonna. The Huskies no longer are in the others receiving votes category of Class 5A.

Lakeville North remains second in Class 6A behind Totino-Grace. Kasson-Mantorville cracks the top 10 in Class 4A. Northfield is now 10th in Class 5A with Mankato West still ranked second and Rochester Mayo receiving votes.

Following their loss, Tri-City United fell from No. 1 to seventh in Class 3A. Goodhue drops out of the top 10 in Class A.
