The city of Faribault issued a news release this week saying their Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hosting a public meeting to get input on live-work artist spaces.

Following the development of Faribault's 2040 Vision, the city is exploring and evaluating different ways to implement some of the recommendations. One potential project being pursued is the development of work-live spaces for artists in the Faribault community.

The news release says the city is bringing ArtSpace to Faribault for a two-day preliminary feasibility study visit on November 16 and 17. During the visit they will tour the community and stop by potential sites for a live-work housing development.

ArtSpace is a nonprofit organization that has been creating affordable, appropriate places to to live and work since 1979.

The Faribault community is being invited to join in a public input meeting at The Village Theatre, 20 Second St. N.W., from 6:30-8PM on November 16.

The ArtSpace website is www.artspace.org.
