The Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association pre-season polls are out and there are a number of teams from the KDHL/POWER 96 listening area included.  Waterville-Elysian-Morristown is ranked number one in Class A and the Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals are rated number nine.  Caledonia is 5th and Mabel-Canton 8th all in the same Section with Bethlehem Academy.

Lakeville North is on top of the Class 3A poll with Lakeville South 5th and Northfield 10th.  In Class 2A the Hiawatha Valley League has three teams in the top five.  Kasson-Mantorville is #2, Stewartville #3 and Kenyon-Wanamingo #5.  Captain practices are being held by many teams currently with the practices with coaches beginning August 13th.

Although our fall sports broadcast schedule has not been finalized it appears we will be seeing many of these ranked teams early.  Bethlehem Academy begins their season at Lakeville North on August 28th.  Waterville-Elysian-Morristown will be at Kenyon-Wanamingo on August 30th and BA is at WEM on September 6th.

Bethlehem Academy enters the season with a 147 Gopher Conference match winning streak.  Interim Head Coach Tim "Tater" Schmitz says he's not worried about the streak and just wants to see the Cardinals get better throughout the season.
