The Greater Metropolitan Automotive Dealers Association Auto Show is now through March 19, featuring more than 575 vehicles with an estimated value of $21 million.

A couple of years ago, I talked about how it's difficult for big and tall people to fit into some of the popular cars. I know there are many people out there that if they are big or thin, short or tall, sometimes know matter what you are looking for, sometimes it's hard to find something that fits. I am happy to report that things have gotten a little better. I'll name off a few I have tried that a larger, tall person does OK in.

The Kia Optima, Ford Fusion and Hyundai Elantra are just a few of the ones that work. Now I typically prefer a truck or an SUV for my needs, but it just makes me wonder when more car makers will realize that "hey maybe we are shrinking our cars too much"!

The one thing I still dislike with the auto show is that most cars have power seats. And they disconnect the batteries on the cars on the floor most of the time and the seats are left in the average person position. So it's hard sometimes to try out a car with out getting a sales rep. And I go to to look, not talk to a sales person. But check out the show anyway. It's nice to dream. And most people will find something that fits.

And this year it seems like there are even more electronic gadgets and toys to keep you entertained and to help keep you safe. I can't even imagine what the manual for a 2018 vehicle with lots of toys must look like.

If you are curious as to how they set the show up, here is a video from the 2015 show.
