AM Minnesota Today Warren Formo

My guest on today's AM Minnesota Program will be Warren Formo, the Executive Director of the Minnesota Agriculture Water Resources Center. Warren is my "go to person" on issues of water quality. That is what the Minnesota Agriculture Water Resources Center specializes in. The Center is funded by a number of agricultural business, farm groups and commodity organizations. One of the major projects is the Discovery Farms. The Discover Farms are scattered around Minnesota. They are real farms that water, sediment and any crop nutrients that leave the farm are monitored.

In addition to getting an update on the Discover Farms we will discuss Minnesota's Buffer Law. I believe the deadline for installing buffer strips along required water ways is next Wednesday. We will also discuss the Minnesota Department of Agricultures proposed Nitrogen regulations. In addition we will talk about any water quality issues that may surface in Minnesota or in Washington D.C.
