Today at 9:30 I will be hosting a special hour long AM Minnesota program. It is my Top Five Ag Stories of 2018. My Top Story was the Trade War not just with China, but also Mexico and Canada. While the trade issues with Mexico and Canada have been resolved Legislative bodies in each country must still approve the trade agreement. There is a "truce" with China but there is no formal agreement yet. Also, The United States pulled out of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP.) Other countries are moving ahead with the TPP.

My number two story was the weather. April was the coldest and with the most snow at the Southern Research and Outreach Center on record. October and November were the coldest on record. Then there were all the tornadoes in September! My third story was the fifth year in a row of low profitability in all ag commodities. My fourth story is the emotional stress felt by farm families. My fifth story is weeds and resistance. I hope you can listen to my Top Five Ag Stories for 2018 at 9:30 this morning!
