AM Minnesota Today Rice County Fair Talk

Rice County Fair Manager John Dvorak will be on today's Am Minnesota program for Fair Talk 2018. My "fair season" officially began yesterday afternoon as I headed up to the Cannon Valley Fair to talk with some FFA and 4-H members. Exactly two weeks from today we kick off the Rice County Fair with the flag raising and the Rice County Fair Queen Coronation.

John has a special guest lined up for today's Fair Talk. The owner of the Barnes PRCA Rodeo will Join us on the phone after the Market update at 9:35. The Barnes PRCA Rodeo is a family business going on the fourth generation. They will be in front of the grandstand Friday evening at 7:00. They were a big hit at last years Rice County Fair and it is great to see they will be back again this year!

The Barnes PRCA Rodeo is a big time operation. It you ever happened to watch the National Rodeo competition on TV, you saw the Barnes Rodeo. Really something that they will be at the Rice County Fair. By the way, in the picture is the 1900's era barn under construction. It sure appears it will be finished for the fair.
