Plowville's 65th Anniversary Conservation Field Day will be Tuesday September 19, 2017 by Dodge Center. Watch for the signs at the Highway 14 exit to Dodge Center. Activities will be going on all day from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. There will be demonstrations on practical cover crop equipment designs for tight budgets, advice on how and when to use cover crops, funding opportunities and demonstrations of tillage equipment. In addition there will be Soil and Water Conservation Staff there along with farmers who have experience with cover crops.

This is a great opportunity for farmers, students, agronomists, county commissioners, policy makers, Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors, and the general public to learn more about incorporating cover crops into the corn soybean rotation. There is no charge to attend Plowville's 65th Anniversary Conservation Field Day Tuesday and you do not have to preregister. You can come for an hour or two or spend the whole day. Lunch will be available. Ed McNamara with the Southeast Minnesota Cover Crop Consortium will be my guest on Today's AM Minnesota Program to discuss the Field Day.
